Boho-chic decor has been dominating the design world for years, and this week’s top bedroom trends on Instagram are no exception.

As we do every week, we scrolled through hundreds of decor posts on Instagram to uncover the most-liked looks. Up this week: the boudoir. It turns out, the posts with the most hearts were bedrooms with a glam—but whimsical—aesthetic.

By combining vintage pieces with modern accessories, and adding some free-spirited swagger, these designs are sure to give your bedroom the pick-me-up it needs. Keep reading for the internet’s five favorite bedroom trends of the week. And if you like what you see, you’re in luck—we’ve identified items you can buy right now to get the look.

Floor-to-ceiling mirrors

It’s time to ditch your mirror, mirror on the wall for something a bit more grand. Not only will a floor-to-ceiling mirror like the one reposted by @liketoknow.it.home (courtesy of @leeannebenjamin) make your bedroom look more spacious, it will also elevate the overall look of the room.

“I use these mirrors to add some sparkle and glamour to a space,” says Angie Wilson, owner of Interior Design Therapy. “The oversized mirrors are also great for adding some extra light reflection in an otherwise dark space.”

Calming wall murals

As we all head indoors for the cold weather season, it’s important to have something in your bedroom that keeps the nature vibes going strong. Or at least that’s what the boho-chic gurus over at @hippie.tribe would probably say. Either way, this forest wall mural (in the home of @bambetleblog) is more relaxing than any yoga class we’ve ever been to, which is just one reason you should consider getting it.

“Wall murals are hot right now,” Wilson says. “It’s a great way to bring in some pattern or impact for a small amount of money, and also a good way to add wallpaper but not commit to doing the entire room.”

Celestial accessories

Having at least one moon or star accessory in your bedroom seems to be a requirement for membership into the boho tribe—which is fine by us if it looks as good as this post from @accio_library.

“This decor is whimsical and freeing and allows for a lot of creativity,” says designer Theda Blackwood. “Pair this with tassels and metallics, and you have something out of this world.”

Get the look: Crank up the magical whimsy in your bedroom by adding some twinkling lights (if you didn’t already have them) and your favorite celestial wall totem from Etsy.

Cozy-shag goodness

Perhaps we can thank pop culture’s revival of “The Brady Bunch,” as shag accessories seem to be cropping up more and more in the world of hippie-chic design.

This room, reposted by @roomforgirl and originally from @homebyis, is positively bursting with shag accessories, from floor to ceiling—in fact just look at that fuzzy light fixture!

“Shag is a great way to add texture to an otherwise neutral space,” Wilson explains. “Shag is also superpopular right now, and we are seeing it on everything from accessories to furniture to artwork.

“Layering textures in different shades of the same color brings depth and interest to a room,” Wilson says.

Tribal throw pillows

If your bedroom needs a quick boho fix, look no further than a set of these textured tribal throw pillows posted by @nest_number_9.

“The tribal look goes very well with modern or bohemian decor,” Wilson says. “It adds balance to a room that has a lot of feminine vibes, and it also is usually a supergeometric pattern, so that goes well with rooms with softer lines or curves.”

Like anything, just be sure not to overdo it with the tribal patterns.

“Use this look sparingly, or it can get too theme-y feeling—think ‘Lion King,’” she adds.
