Tarek El Moussa, star of “Flip or Flop” and “Flipping 101,” has moved into a new house with his girlfriend, Heather Rae Young of “Selling Sunset.”

And when a house flipper and a real estate agent move in together, you’d imagine their new digs would be pretty spectacular. And this beach house certainly does not disappoint!

Located in Newport Beach, the 3,700-square-foot rental is just a block from the ocean, and boasts one of the biggest backyards in the neighborhood. But that’s not all there is to love about this place. From the hip hangout area to the wrestling ring, it’s clear that the couple designed their new place with El Moussa’s kids in mind.

El Moussa is the father of Taylor, 9, and Brayden, 4, his kids with ex-wife and “Flip or Flop” co-star Christina Anstead.

Curious just how family-friendly their new digs are? Take a look at some of the cool features El Moussa and Young have incorporated to make this space instantly feel like home.

1. A photo display by the entryway

Few things personalize a new place like framed family photos, but El Moussa took it even further by placing them right near the front entrance.

“It’s amazing to come home and see the babies,” says El Moussa.

This display is a nice alternative to a wall gallery. Also, if you’re renting, this is a great way to avoid putting holes in the walls to hang pictures—not that patching those up and repainting would be any problem for El Moussa.

2. Swivel chairs

Swivel chairs are fun for the whole family.

Like a grown-up, more glamorous version of the sit-and-spin toy of yesteryear, this quartet of swivel chairs offers each family member his or her own spot to chill. (In other words, no fighting over who’s taking up too much space on the couch.)

El Moussa calls this the family’s “hangout area,” and you can see why. Thanks to the 360-degree swivel aspect, everyone can enjoy views of the outdoors, the TV, and the kitchen. Even Young can’t resist taking a spin. Who could blame her?

3. Rollaway coffee table

You might not think a lot of wrestling goes on in this elegant beach house, but that’s the reason El Moussa chose this coffee table on wheels. When the kids want to get down and grapple on the rug, the hands-on dad just rolls this table out of the way, and there’s plenty of room for a little friendly competition.

“You can just push them out of the way, and this turns into a wrestling ring,” El Moussa says.

4. A jumbo TV

It makes sense that the reality TV stars would have an unapologetically large flat-screen TV on the wall—all the better to watch their hit shows or enjoy a movie night with the kids. The fireplace adds a subtle, cozy touch that doesn’t steal the spotlight from the TV.

5. A large dining table

Just like in many other households, the kitchen seems to be the heart of the home for El Moussa and Young. At their former place, El Moussa says the family had dinner in different areas, with the kids at one table and the couple at another. All that’s changed in this home.

“It was very important that we started doing everything together as a family,” says El Moussa. “So now we all eat together at this table.”

Young adds that they gather all the chairs around their large table, which seats eight to 10 people.

“The kitchen is amazing; it’s where all the family hangs out,” says Young. “Tarek’s dad comes over and cooks for us.”

The couple hosts “family night” every Wednesday, so they need plenty of space to accommodate everyone.

6. Backyard pool

This pool is the perfect spot to cool down on a hot day.

Even though the ocean is nearby, a backyard pool lets the kids have some fun while Young and El Moussa can keep an eye on them from the kitchen. As the home flipper notes, this lot is twice the size of others in the neighborhood, which grants them “a really cool yard and a pool.”

“It gets hot quick so I don’t have to heat it for too long, which the kids love,” adds Young.

Flowing water adds a peaceful sound. In the world of feng shui, it’s said to represent cash flow. Based on the success of El Moussa and Young, it seems to be doing the trick.
