The Clever Trick For Getting Better Water Pressure

Hot steam, scented body wash, off-tune Britney songs: The shower is your happy place. But it isn't the same when your water pressure sucks.

The next time you notice a stream that's less than forceful, try this little hack before calling your plumber.

What you need: A plastic bag, white vinegar and a rubber band.

What you do: Fill the bag with vinegar and place it around the showerhead so the nozzle is fully submerged. Secure the whole thing with the rubber band and leave on overnight. In the morning, remove the bag and turn the shower on to rinse away any remaining vinegar.

How it works: The vinegar dissolves the buildup of minerals that can accumulate over time, leading to a clearer stream and better showers for all.

Anything else? Be careful when using vinegar on gold, brass or nickel finishes or near marble surfaces. (In those instances, leave the bag on for only 30 minutes.)

And what if I try this and my water pressure is still crappy? Call the plumber. No harm, no foul.
