Parent's Hilarious Teacher Appreciation Gift Gets Right To The Point

Teachers are saints. They provide an invaluable service to parents as they guide and care for their students during some of the longest hours of the day.

This hilarious teacher appreciation gift recognizes the often exhausting work that they do on a daily basis.

A dad on Reddit named Marty posted a photo of this personalized wine bottle for teachers that he found "from a friend of a friend on Facebook," and it quickly went viral among parents and educators alike. The custom label features a photo of a toddler and reads, "Our child might be the reason you drink, so enjoy this bottle on us!"

"As a parent of two girls and graphic designer myself, I thought it would make for a pretty great gift!" Marty told The Huffington Post.

The bottle originated from Evermine, an Oregon-based company that sells personalized items like wine labels, stationery, invitations and more. Art director and mom of two Stacy Dutton created the wine gift idea and shared it on the Evermine blog in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

"Teachers very rarely get enough credit for what they do. They have one of the most important jobs in my opinion -- they help mold and teach our kids," Dutton told The Huffington Post. "After becoming a mom, I now understand how much patience one must have to work with kids everyday. It has to be one of the most rewarding and challenging careers out there."

After her son entered his "terrible twos," Dutton said she decided to give his teachers a more lighthearted, humorous gift. "I know the teachers at my son's school on a personal level, and I knew that they would find the gift humorous and not offensive," the mom said, adding that the gift may not be appropriate for everyone but can make a fun present "for the right teacher."

"There is an old saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and that couldn't be more true," she continued. "I love knowing that my son is being shaped by so many wonderful teachers at his school."

So true! And we'll take 50, please!
