Inside Christina Anstead’s Gorgeous Home: 7 Things You Must See

Christina Anstead

HGTV

Despite her recent split from husband Ant, Christina Anstead still has plenty on her plate with her HGTV show “Christina on the Coast,” her baby Hudson (who just celebrated his first birthday), and an upcoming furniture line.

And, of course, she still stays plenty busy keeping her own house looking fabulous!

In 2018, Anstead sold the Yorba Linda, CA, home she shared with her “Flip or Flop” co-star and ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa. This left her free to find a new family home, and she soon did, paying $4.1 million for a place in Newport Beach, CA.

Whether you’re curious to compare her new home style with the old or get a gander at how gorgeous a celebrity designer’s home can be, check out some of the most impressive features in Anstead’s abode below.

1. Tall ceiling with exposed rafters

When you walk through the front doors of Anstead’s new home, your eyes are drawn upward to the tall ceiling and exposed rafters. This look is giving off some serious barn vibes in the best way possible. Because she painted the rafters white, the room feels light and airy. Plus, the rectangular skylights let even more natural light into the main living space.

In keeping with the modern farmhouse theme, Anstead added an industrial metal range hood above the stove. The silvery metal stands out against the all-white cabinets and the light-gray backsplash.

2. A huge wine rack

Apparently, the Anstead family likes wine—lots of it. One of the main features in the dining area is a huge, glass-enclosed wine rack, which makes a serious design statement. The industrial black frame really makes this stylish yet functional design element pop.

3. A boho-chic nursery for baby Hudson

For baby Hudson, Anstead created the sweetest boho-chic nursery. You won’t find any cliché baby-blue decor here. Nope!

Hudson’s room is stylish with macrame wall hangings, a fiddleleaf fig plant, a cozy chair and ottoman, a plush rug, and white curtains.

4. A water slide

The interiors of the home look amazing, but you can tell Anstead spared no expense when it comes to the backyard. Case in point: There’s even a full-blown waterslide at the pool for the kids.

5. A poolside bungalow

Against a backdrop of bright-green grass, the turquoise pool is gorgeous in its own right. But Anstead took it a step further by adding a cozy bungalow for lounging with the kids. The bungalow looks like one you’d find at an upscale hotel—there are billowy white curtains, throw blankets, pillows, an ottoman, and more boho-chic decor items.

6. Black and white decor

Throughout the house, Anstead chose to marry crisp blacks and whites with natural wood tones. The result is both sophisticated and homey—her family actually lives here, after all.

You can see the clean color palette on full display in her bathroom, which features a geometric floor tile that really makes a statement. She kept it clean and simple with an all-white vanity, but added classy gold door handles and drawer pulls for a pop of color.

7. A giant pantry

It’s hard to believe with Anstead’s crazily busy schedule that she still has time to be a mom, which means cooking many a meal (and dessert) for the kids. To that end, she treated herself to an enormous kitchen pantry to help keep all of the family’s food organized. You can see she has a spice rack, cereal containers, and good ol’ potato chips. Stars, they’re just like us!
