There's plenty to ask when scoping out a home for purchase, but according to "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" star Josh Altman, there's one question prospective buyers should prioritize in their search.
"What's very important for you to ask is why the seller's moving," the Bravo star told HuffPost Live in a conversation on Tuesday. "You're going to learn a lot from that answer."
Aside from learning more about the property, buyers will have an idea of "how much room there is typically to negotiate," Altman said. "The more information you have, the more ammunition you have in order to get a better deal."
To gauge whether a house is priced correctly, fellow cast member and broker James Harris suggests comprehensively researching the other homes in the area.
"Know what houses have sold within a one mile radius within the past six months and know that you're buying with a good education under your belt," he said.
