Keep on scrolling and we'll show you how to put together a complete scape inside a glass bubble planter to hang up in your home or gift to a friend. No green thumbs required with low-maintenance air plants and preserved moss that only need a quick spritz of water here and there.
Materials:
- 4-inch glass bubble hanging terrarium
- air plants (2 species)
- preserved reindeer moss
- white sand
- red sand
- gold glitter
- white gravel
- string
Tools:
- scissors
Pull together your materials and let's get down to business!
Snip off the corner of one bag of sand and carefully pour a shallow layer into your glass terrarium. Keep adding layers of sand and glitter, gently shaking the terrarium after each layer to spread it evenly. Stop adding sand when you have reached about 1/4 inch from the bottom of the round opening. Add one last layer of white gravel to pack all the other layers down and give your terrarium texture.
Once you've finished layering the sand and gravel, arrange the reindeer moss to provide a background for your air plants.
To finish, arrange your air plants inside of the glass terrarium.
Tie some fun colored twine onto your terrarium for hanging, and cluster several terrariums to create a jaw-dropping wall moment for your next gathering. These beautiful terrariums are sure to please your pickiest loved ones this holiday season.
