When drilling a hole into a wall, there's typically one universal certainty: You will create a dusty mess.
Unless, apparently, you have a sticky note.
Carpenter Carmen de la Paz, the resident craftswoman on "Home Made Simple," says she uses a sticky note to catch the drywall and dust particles that are an inevitable part of drilling. She demonstrates how in the above video, but it's as simple as folding the sticky note in half to create a mini "shelf" and sticking that "shelf" to the wall, directly below where you'll be drilling. It catches the dust that otherwise would have ended up all over your floor. Genius.
"Home Made Simple" airs Saturdays at 9 a.m. ET on OWN.
